Command/chem

From ConTeXt wiki

\chem

Syntax

\chem{...}{...}{...}
{...} element
{...} subscript
{...} superscript

Description

Write a chemical formula as element, subscript, superscript. The advantage over \lohi is that the \lohi command has to be placed between the element and its modifiers, and that it turns hyphens into minus signs.

Example

\chem{SO}{4}{2-} + \chem{H}{2}{}O

SO\lohi{4}{2-} + H\low{2}O

%\molecule{H_3O^+} %% mkiv only
