\framedtext

Summary

The instances of \framedtext are used for wrapping frames, margins and/or backgrounds around longer blocks of text.

Instances

\framedtextLike \framed, but suited for multiple paragraphs.

...=...,...inherits from \setupframedtext

Description

The instances of framedtext are defined by \defineframedtext. That command also defines startframedtext environment versions of the instances. Since the intended usage is around text containing multiple paragraphs, the environment form is usually more suited.

The default width of the \framedtext frame is fixed at .75\hsize, unlike the frame produced by \framed, which defaults to width=fit.
