\lohi

Summary

The command \lohi creates a stacked subscript and a superscript in text mode

Settings

\lohi[...]{...}{...}
[...]left right
{...}content
{...}content

Description

Place a subscript and a superscript above it, instead of one after the other. \lohi expects the subscript first; \hilo is simply a wrapper around \lohi that expects the superscript first. You can provide an optional keyword left, in which

case the super- and subscript will be right-aligned to permit placement at the left of a word.

Examples

Example 1

Today is the 3\high{rd} March 2010.\par
The lethal concentration L\low{50} varies with the temperature.\par
One stable isotope of tantalum is \lohi[left]{73}{180m}Ta.
