Description

Identifies a sub-part of a title or heading which shouldn't be carried over into the \marking mechanism.

Example

\chapter{This title is long \nomarking{enough to cause problems in the headers
and footers}}

Here the whole title will be displayed as normal, but if the chapter title is 
used as a header or footer it will be displayed as:

This title is long ...
