# \setbreakpoints

## Syntax (autogenerated)

 \setbreakpoints[...] [...] reset name

## Syntax

 \setbreakpoints[...] [...] compound reset

## Description

Activate a predefined set of breakpoints (characters at which words may be broken). A breakpoint in a set may be defined using \definebreakpoint. This does not affect hyphenation in general, beyond adding extra hyphenation points to eligible words. The only set of breakpoints defined by default is `compound`.

## Example

```\setuppapersize[A8]
\setbreakpoints[compound]
