Free / Open Source
- FontForge (former PFAedit), a full featured font editor by George Williams
- metatype1, generates Type 1 fonts from MetaPost
- LCDF Typetools - otftotfm, otfinfo and many other programs to work with OpenType fonts (used in TeXfont - Old Content)
Commercial
- FontLab
- DTL FontMaster (former Ikarus)
BTW: Forget Fontographer, says Hraban. It's long dead and has some errors, esp. with TrueType. FontForge is already better. If you like it comfortable, buy FontLab.
